Paddle Boarding was a lot of fun. The sun was scorching hot and the water was freezing cold. It was an exciting and interesting experience. It was much easier than I had expected to be able to stand on the board and they're way more stable than I had thought. The experience was very rewarding and I would definitely do it again.

Goal outcome
For my run time my goal was 1:45 I achieved 1:13
I am pleasantly surprised by the amount that I have beaten my run time goal.
My pushup goal was 55 but my record was only 40, I have shamed myself and my family.
My situp goal was 55 but my record was 44, I have again shamed myself and my kin.
My plank goal was 5:00 but my record was 3:19, I have further shamed myself and will consider ritual suicide.
Trying to complete the goals were fun and gave me a real sense of how difficult it can be to improve ones self physically.

Weekly activity post
On Sunday I was at the gym. I Squatted 275 5x5 Benched 170 5x5 Rows 171 5x5 I was unhappy with the form of my squats at this weight. I feel like I wasn't quite able to hit parallel and this is the third time in a row that I've had trouble with this weight so I'm going to be deloading to 90 percent of the weight. This means that I'll be Squatting 250 next time.

MMA #4
Surprisingly I found myself going to Goldie's gym once again. It was a lot of fun, as always learning about different ways to defend ourselves by learning escapes from different positions like headlocks guillotines, and the rear naked choke. We learned some basic elbow and knee strikes and how to use them. The class was fun as always, and I hope to return again.

MMA#3
The third and final outing to Goldie's gym was a nice ending to the series of adventures at the mixed martial arts gym. We learned some basic groundwork such as mounts and side control. We ended with some submission wrestling and it was fun watching people try to apply what they had learned in a realistic situation. also winning. Winning was fun. I hope that we go back some day as it really was an enjoyable experience.

MMA #2
The second trip to Goldie's gym was much more interesting than the first for me. We reviewed the basic striking and then strayed into grappling which is much more in my comfort zone, as my background is in judo and wrestling. we learned how to get out of a standing rear naked choke with a throw, and then transfer in to groundwork and learned a basic arm bar. The class was too short as always, and I left with a feeling of incompleteness in my heart.
MMA #1
The first trip to Goldie's MMA class was actually not as terrible as I had once thought that it might be. We learned some basic striking and how to throw punches and kicks that will theoretically hurt your opponent more than it will hurt you. The class did not feel long enough to properly absorb and practice what we had been taught.but then again I'm used to 1.5 hour judo classes instead of the 45 minutes that we had at Goldie's.
5Km Run
The 5Km run that we embarked upon was a tedious expenditure of my most valuable time which sadly can never be regained. Though it may have had it's merits. I can not determine any.
Weekly Update
Yesterday I went to the gym with Chris and finished his introduction to the strong lifts 5x5 program by showing him workout A. Workout A is Squats 5x5 bench press 5x5 and Rows 5x5 I then did workout A which consisted of.

I was successful with all of my sets and reps so I will be able to add 5lbs to all of the exercises next time.

My thoughts on this PE 12 blog
I think that the whole idea of involving computer interaction as a necessary part of a physical education course is horribly backwards and just plain wrong. It could just be because I'm not very computer savvy and I have never blogged before, or done anything of the sort. I don't even have a twitter or instagram account, and I don't want to. however I shall be forced to make a twitter account sometime this week for this course.
I'm not very worried about the physical aspects of this PE class because I usually perform well at sports and I'm currently in the best shape of my life. I am enjoying PE class so far, however the class is not physically demanding enough in my opinion. And not enough people are showing up to effectively make two teams for any sport, which is very frustrating.

Food Matters movie

Has seeing Food Matters changed any of your attitudes towards food or disease?
Not really. I have always had an understanding that organic and natural foods were superior to their genetically modified counterparts.

For you, what is the most important idea/lesson that you will take from the film?
That modern medicine is the devil, and that my doctors are trying to kill me. But more seriously, that I should eat a lot more fresh vegetables, and take a lot more vitamins.

I can choose to take more vitamins, and secretly mix vitamins into the food of my family when they aren't paying attention.
