The first trip to Goldie's MMA class was actually not as terrible as I had once thought that it might be. We learned some basic striking and how to throw punches and kicks that will theoretically hurt your opponent more than it will hurt you. The class did not feel long enough to properly absorb and practice what we had been taught.but then again I'm used to 1.5 hour judo classes instead of the 45 minutes that we had at Goldie's.
That's exactly it. It's about exposure to new things for the class as individuals. You've had that experience before, and is one that you excel at. Although you may not have been challenged physically, I think you were challenged mentally by helping coach others. And I think that showed your leadership skills.
